DECA

Distributive Education Clubs of America

Creativity is intelligence having fun.
— Albert Einstein

Since my sophomore year of high school, I have been actively involved in my school’s DECA club. Standing for Distributive Education Clubs of America, DECA was established to help high school students worldwide explore various aspects of business, marketing, and hospitality. But DECA is more than just a program; to me, it’s a community. I’ve met lifelong friends and learned a significant amount about my specific interest, marketing. My class advisor, Jeff Champlin, is someone whom I look up to and has taught me everything I know! I love the creative aspects of marketing, and in DECA, I’ve been able to explore and develop my skills in marketing, while also actively promoting DECA. I was elected President of Community Service in my Junior year and President of Marketing in my senior year for our school’s chapter. Below, you will find every major project I’ve worked on in DECA, as well as photos from the different competitions I’ve qualified for, and the fun community events I’ve organized to encourage more people to join DECA.
